As another note, My best friend becky left today. She's going home, after the fiasco with her now ex-boyfriend leaving her suddenly last week. (the day before they got their apartment, and a week before she had to attend a wedding) needless to sya, not happy with him.

I like Cleo, Zoe and Darla for girls.

I think I'll have to use one of those for my next kitty.

(My second-last cat was almost a Darla until the vet found his balls.)

I like Matias and Mateo. :)

Amantha sounds like Amanda with a lisp. Peregryn is just a -little- too SCA. ;) Dunixi is awkward but cool. I'd okay it for an RP character name, but not really a baby. Kenyon would make an odd but interesting boy's name.

And for the reference of others, it's 'Daivat', pronounced 'Dai-ee-vat', except the 'Dai-ee' is a bit shortened, so it's somewhere between 'Dai-ee' and 'Daiyee', and the 'vat' portion is a soft 'a', so it's more like the cross between 'vat' and 'vaht'. Daivat. (Yes, it's a pain in the ass to explain.)

Faruza is an RP character name, yeah, but I still like it. 'Fah-rue-za'.

My personal picks stand at:

Boy: Daivat, Mateo, Matias, Faruza.
Girl: Jocaya. (I think we're both in pretty happy agreement on that one.)

Matias is nice for a boy *adds little jab of how about Magnus because I got it lots so there*

I can't pick a favorite for the girls, I kind of like them all.

Anyways, I've met Becky right? (I for some reason am having huge giant brain farts today) Lately it seems that lots of couples I know are splitting.

Whatever happened to names like John or Dave? Nevermind Kyle, that's a wussies name. If you want your son to grow up a man, you name him something like... I dunno, Chuck. Chuck Steak. Oooo. A mans mans man. I just wanna be his friend with a name like that.

Peregryn agrees with my sense of names, though I don't think I'd use it myself. Jocaya's neat - again not my choice but well-suited to you two (three I guess). Kenyon rings in my ears as a boy's name. In fact I might steal it ;) I love Matias and Mateo.

My names are far more ordinary but somewhat less common:

Girls:
EmmaLee (carry on the Lee part-name and mess with her teachers) or possibly Emmalyn
Juliana

Boys:
Liam
Kael (pronounced kale, but not spelt like the veggie, mmhmm - my friend just named her boy Cale)
Kieran (hello, am I a bit Irish ya think?)

I've had other thoughts but those are the prominent ones.

And yeah, I have awhile to decide too - as long as there's no permanent partner in my life I'm staying on the anti-baby pills. Until I hit early 30's, at which point if I'm still on my own I'll start finding someone to father my child.

Yes folks, you heard it here first. I'm having a child someday even if I never find a lifetime partner.
