one picture tonight

Not happy with the nose being crooked. not sure i even like the nose. but the eyelashes! Zomg! better then i've done before! Very happy with them and the makeup coming along. need smaller lines for int he lips though.

My robot girl is coming along. Now to find her a cheap resin or plastic body i can mod, and i will be happy. :) i think i may have found one for under 200 usd, and will take layaway pymts by several months! Whoo! so like $25 a paycheck here i come! and another head will have a body! 1 down, 2 to go! and i'm full of dolls. :)

p.s. i know bahu said no more dolls. said nothing about getting _bodies_ for heads i already have! :) Trying to decide if i want the Mau head (Cat head) to be female or male.... maybe i'll make my other head Male. i need a male doll in there somewhere...

Ooo~ nice colors~ :D I love the shapes the lines make too.

if you're having trouble with keeping her lines straight, what I'm doing on my robot girl is putting down a line of masking tape and using that as a flexible straight edge. For smaller lip lines you might be able to sharpen a watercolor pencil to a very fine point, dip it in a little water and draw with it? I'm terrible with painting lines.

i might have to dot he masking fluid on her though. although i might need to invest in low-tack tape. i have alt of fixing. Atleast i'm happy with this rendition of her. the last one was so terrible, i just wiped it and let her sit on a stand for a month. XD

Atleast this one is better then my tiffee head i did.

Have you met my friend [livejournal.com profile] kwanboa? She's all into the dolls, (Dolfies?) too. At first, when I saw this, I thought it was her post. :P

as batchix wrote, it would be a good idea to use masking tape to make staight lines; it makes your dolls look very professional ^_^ You can also get masking fluid which you can paint on and then peel off afterword which works just as well.

The other great thing about using masking tape is you can get a feel for what things will look like without actually having to paint anything ^_^

The eyelashes look good btw; will you be putting in upper lashes too? (not painted, like the glue-in ones...)

hopefully green ones if i can find them. :) and thanks! the last eyelashes i did was on my tiffee, They turned out terrible. *makes a face* i drew lines on her with a ruler, but freehanded the nose. Bleh, shes going through one more repaint i think. Same thing, Just straighter.
