dillyokay so..
FINALLY home! left a land that was beginning to bloom and had nice grass beginning to show., Returned to winter wonderland.
blargh!
AFF was a fucking blast! met a bunch of nice people. Tried to volunteer for AFF but they were pretty well staffed!
Left on thursday night. made it to Nanton and stayed int he "double d motel" nice little place. inspired dead hooker talk in all hotel rooms after that. Bhaua nd i bother dreamed of dead people in the hotel. XD had the coolest little fridge/stove/sink combo we've seen EVAR!. and a terrible sleep on a bed too hard for my liking.
drove the rest of the way in on friday through pretty mountain passes. No issues getting through the border! YAY!
Managed to catch furry pictionary, THAT was hilrious! it really was! the strangest things they had to come up with. XD other then that, Friday night wandered around and hung out with Kasu (i think that was his name) and he gave me a Haku mask! (ZOMG! LOVE!) i need to find a way to contact him to send him his sketch. couldn't find him at all on sunday to give it to him!
Saterday was much fun. Went down to the hotel restuarant for some awesome french toast and they messed up bahus order. Blargh. good meal though. Then back to catch the cardgames nad such hour. played munchkin for the first time with christian and Beetlecat. That was awesome! need to find and play that game! Wandered around after that. much doodling ont he doodle pad was to be had. Caught the guest of honor panel, and met wolf nyh. AKA Katie. she was nice tot alk to. Was intereuppted for a few minutes while a awesome fursuiter showed off his wings and his suit. Very soft looking suit too.
Wolfnymph was a cutie and showed some of her sketchbook off. Bahu asked lots of questions too her. i giggled over the akward silences.
then it was off to the "whose fur is it anyways" inwhich i particitpated int he "props" game. Best gme invented ever. i love props. XD maybe beetlecat will post upt he video she took of me. :) you can tell the ones who've had previous improve experience in there fromt he others. kinda made it fun and a little intimidating though. oh well. much fun was still to be had.
went out for supper at that point. nice little place called jimmeys. highly recommend the place during the day. i'll come back to this a little later on.
went back for some socialization and for ice cream social. Made the populatr table there, with 10-13 people trying to squish around a 8 person max table. MAde for alot of fun int he end. talked with one guy who i hope emails me on making him some claws. he was super nice to talk to and was easy to tlak too. i didn't feel akward talking to him like most strangers i talk too.
at ome point during that we did disappear to jimmys again for oatmeal stout. we visited there 3 times over the day. XD. had a ton of fun.
We kidnapped beetle and christian some time later after a unwanted fur called beetle "itty-bitty", and tookt hem back to jimmeys (this was the 3rd time) service was mega slow slow slow. still had a good time talking and getting to know beetle and christian.
We went back and got ready for the "dance" it was lame. like most con dances. but we had fun. we slept early that night and slept in on sunday. As late as we watned too. Except for the fucking alarm someone set int eh room beside us. (had adjoining door) and could hear alarm through it. went on for about 45 min. called fronst desk at the ridpath, they took 15 of that 45 min to find he room with the clock and shut it off. slept soundly after that.
after that we got packed up and cleared out the room. As we were leaving later that afternoon on sunday. Went out for pizza breakfast at this snazzy little awesome joint! rocco's i think it was called. the "small" pizza can feed 2 people, the medium 3 people easy. we were amused byt he signs and pictures up on the walls.
Had fun at the charity auction after i picked up my art. donated the rest of it as a lot to the Auction. i danced as it went over 35 dollars and was the highest bid there. i also started a few bidding wars to get a bag ful of cat stuff, and 2 dragon plushies. i traded one tot he guy who was bidding with me, as i wnated puff the magic dragon, and he wanted the pocket dragon. XD
Went tot he art technique panel after that. made for a interesting way to do painting mixed with pencil crayons. XD must try it out now.
We left shortly after that with no goodbyes. had us a good trip back till we hit the mountians. t hen it started to snow. and snow heavy. Came across one accident. luckily the guy was okay. snowed all the way to coleman, where we spent the night at a awesome motel. they gave us 20 off our room AND 10 off our meal if we wetn tot he next motel spot of thiers for a emal. so we did just that. nice little place too.
Came the rest of the way home today. snowy cold blustery highway 2 was boring and straight. Bahu drove most of this morninrg. spelled off with beetle in gasoline alley for the drive home.
So much fun was had. will do this con again next year! XD
