seriously, going to go. too many people to see there. i need to go! i can't fly- Can't get passport in time. Need to update my ID as well. Even though i will be moving possibly end of april, end of may. we will see which ones first.

i can bus it with Laine, but that is a LONG ASS TRIP! would much rather car-pool it down.

so anyone? anyone at all?

Hmm

Might want to make sure you can still cross w/o passport, because it was my belief that the stricter regulations began affecting border crossings on land as well as of January.

However, there is a high chance I'm wrong so just double check to be sure :-p

you can cross the border without a passport, you just have to have birth certificate, gov id and other things to prove your citizenship.

i do passports as part of my job. well.. pictures for them. to ahve that info handy, is awesome.

I thought last year it was still ok to use photo id and birthcert, but we were going to need passport for everything this year.

nope. they went back ont he passport at the border. Wayy too many border towns and other places made that a cause to extend it to i think next year. so they didn't ahve the fuckery that they had for the whole passport issue last year and it was taking anywhere from 2-6 bloody months to get a passport.
