dillyomg so much fun!
so serious much fun. a certain someone kept trying to kidnap me and take me home. i arttraded for a chainmallie bracelet, which i can't take off till i get ahold of some pliers.
Day one.
well. We left thrusday night. got to the hotel room laaaate and almost did not get a room. Bahu transfered me some money for the hold, and i have to transfer it back to him. Woe! XD but we got it, had a good night sleep and woke up friday morning. We went to a awesome little french cafe with real made food. it was delicious! sausage shepards pie fro breakfast = crack for dilly. i was all hyper and shit for 3 days! hahahaaaa.... anyways, Meet Seasenshi, who was super awesome and Enoji and Aether. they were coool people. did reg went in for opening ceremonies. after that, went to the wolf panel.
Got to talk to them about wolves and how packs work and how humans take care of wolves, and it's the wolves that decide you work with them, and it's not really a job you can back away from once you have it. kinda cool. the wolf they brought in was Mohawk, who as a baby still in the womb, was subject to a jarring shock as his mom knocked herself off the operating table during a c-section. he got most of the fall on his hip. so he has a bumb leg and is a great wolf for panels like this. he was calmed and relaxed. and awesome. after that, hung up art at art show, hung out with people, and hung around the dealers den. managed to miss "whose fur is it anyways was having so much fun. went out for dinner and came back to pillows and party games. which had a epic 3-4 hour long game of running from chair to chair if you did or didn't do something, kinda let you know a bit about people.
Day 2
woke up earrrrrly and hung around with some people till "cartoons and cereal" opened up. so sat and watched dexters lab and got out of there to the dealers den. hung around, chatted with people. ended up going to most of the greyhound panel. they are handsome dogs when seen up close. i really wanted to take lelo home with me. he kept coming back for ear scritches. He also did amazingly well for being his first time not at a track setting and in with a small group of people. he even wagged his tail when he saw a fursuit! HAHA!
went for lunch and decided it was too long, so hung out in the dealers den which closed for lunch as well. got ready for my watercolour panel which we had a shitload of fun with. i painted my face with colours and taught some basics of watercolour from my point of view. gave everyone paintbrushes and paper to play with. went over super well! going to do it again next year!!!
Rei and i went to furry pictionary, succeeded in breaking Flinthoof with golden compass. which i drew a compass, and rei drew someone VERY happily peeing on the compass. foxy and (i can't remember his name!) did one of a ford pinto, flinthoof drew a horse mock humping the rearend where they had all the issues. XD Rei and i won the game! it was close. we had a average of 23.5 seconds for people to guess the answer to foxy and that guy's 25 seconds. Decided we need to defend our honor next year. buhahaaaaa.
Ice cream social was awesome! sat and talked with SR foxely, and snow wolf, and a few others who sat at the table. and it seged into 2 the ranting gryphons comedy hour. which was awesome too. he had some good stories and he is an asshole! haha. the raffle was pretty fun, 13 things went up. they got some feedback on maybe having more lots up instead of a few huge ones. loooove the raffle idea!
afterwards went to the art jam and hung out. set up my mp3 player and played music. everyone seemed to like the music i was playing. so it was all good. did a few art trades. got a awesome chainmielle bracelet, drew her a awesome picture of her char. i'll upload it to my FA soon.
annnnnnnd i volunteered to run the art jam next year. haha going to see if we can get it going friday and saterday night. there was some murmoring of wanting it, a nd it can happen during open gaming too. anyways, that is neither here nor there.
Afterwards, went to a art jam in a hotel room. had a utter blast! talked with Jari, and Zyrxx, and a few others. did another art trade. drew a fine gryphon ass. went to bed too late!
day 3
went out for breakfast at satellite. had alot of fun. went around the dealers den and was a "fan girl" for the artists with a clipboard. buhahaaa... Went to the art auction. had a piece go for $30!!! haha, i was sitting next to the people bidding too. had a good giggle with them as well. May have to do more giraffes for next year and non-anthro stuff.
kinda skipped the next 2 panels and hung out mostly in the dealers den with Flinthoof and laine. helped flinters with a pose or 2. he drew me a awesome picture of my char. i loooove him for it. went to the closing ceremonies and feedback section. got some good feedback there about my panel and about the con in general. all in all. mostly posative things, and about a good 1/6 of the crowd int he closing ceremonies were alllll new people.
afterwards went out for supper after helping people clear things up. had a apple chutney burger. OM NOM NOM NOM....
ended up picking up my art and talking with savannahcat who bought 2 of my pieces. buhahaa.. and hung around the mezzanine where we ended up having a fantastic reading by samwise and laine of stormcock. Flinters also read and Rei. so freaking hilarious. we were all laughing so hard i think all our cheeks were bright as the daystar and hurt like no tomorrow.
which leads me to the dead dog party. omg.. which i got drunk off sangria and a version of whiskey sour i loooved. it was all good. samwise and i and atari wolf and a few others got druuuunk. sam had never been drunk, so i taught him the ways to drink water to help with not having a hang over. and i stayed there till 4 am. XD
You know it was a good party when someone BUYS A DOMAIN NAME! to remember the event by! hahahaaaa.. it was one hell of a party.
